FAART Office

The FAART Creative Design Studio Office Renovation involved the adaptive reuse and transformation of an existing two-storey residential unit in UP Village, Quezon City into a vibrant and contemporary creative workspace. Commissioned in 2018, the project was envisioned to support the growing operations of FAART Creative Design Studio while reflecting the company's innovative and artistic culture.

KDA Design + Architecture reimagined the former residence as a dynamic office environment designed to accommodate a team of nineteen creatives. The project included a comprehensive interior redevelopment, where existing residential spaces were stripped and reconfigured into collaborative work areas, meeting spaces, support facilities, and administrative functions. The architectural intervention extended beyond the interiors, introducing a renewed façade that expressed the building's new identity while establishing a modern and professional street presence.

Drawing inspiration from industrial design aesthetics, the interiors combined exposed structural elements, warm wood finishes, metal accents, and bold colors to create an energetic yet functional workplace. Open workstations encouraged collaboration and idea-sharing, while carefully planned lighting, furniture, and material selections supported productivity and creativity. The design balanced a contemporary industrial character with a comfortable and human-centered work environment.

Sustainability was also a key consideration in the project. The design incorporated energy-efficient lighting systems, inverter-type air-conditioning units, and provisions for future solar panel installation to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. These strategies aligned with the studio's forward-thinking approach and commitment to responsible design.

The FAART Creative Design Studio Office Renovation demonstrates how thoughtful adaptive reuse can transform an ordinary residential structure into a distinctive creative workplace. Through strategic planning, architectural renewal, and carefully curated interiors, the project created an inspiring environment that supports innovation, collaboration, and the evolving needs of a modern design practice.
