Gratchi's Getaway

The Gratchi’s Getaway Redevelopment Masterplan was a comprehensive site planning and conceptual redevelopment project for a 1.9-hectare team-building camp and farm resort in Silang, Cavite. The project aimed to transform the existing facility into a premier outdoor educational and recreational destination for students, families, and corporate groups while maximizing the site's natural topography and environmental assets.
KDA Design + Architecture conducted an extensive site profiling and analysis process that examined the property's physical, biological, and cultural characteristics, including slope conditions, hydrology, vegetation, circulation patterns, utilities, and hazard considerations. These studies informed the development of a sustainable and responsive masterplan that balanced new development with the preservation of the site's natural landscape.

The proposed masterplan reorganized the resort into distinct activity zones, featuring upgraded accommodations, duplex villas, a retirees’ community, public pool facilities, dining terraces, event spaces, a reinvented Filipino playscape, animal interaction areas, plant nursery, chapel pavilion, and outdoor adventure amenities. The redevelopment strategy emphasized experiential learning, outdoor recreation, and nature-based tourism while maintaining over 80% of the property as open space.
A key feature of the masterplan was the integration of educational and cultural experiences through interactive outdoor environments, including play areas inspired by traditional Filipino games, farm-based attractions, and environmental learning spaces. Sustainability initiatives such as renewable energy opportunities, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management systems were also incorporated into the overall development vision.

The project demonstrates KDA Design + Architecture’s approach to site-responsive planning, combining environmental analysis, strategic land-use planning, and hospitality design to create a cohesive destination that enhances both user experience and long-term site value.
