Every November 30, we commemorate Bonifacio Day—a moment to honor Andrés Bonifacio, the “Father of the Philippine Revolution.” Beyond his bravery and leadership, Bonifacio embodied the values of resilience, unity, and the drive to shape a nation’s future.
As an architect, I see Bonifacio’s story as more than just history—it’s a blueprint for purpose-driven design. Like the structures we build today, his vision was rooted in the foundations of freedom, dignity, and progress. He didn’t have access to the grand halls of power, but he had conviction, courage, and a community willing to rise with him.
In many ways, this mirrors how we approach design and construction: starting with what we have, guided by a clear vision, and working collectively to create something lasting. Just as Bonifacio fought for a nation built on freedom, we work to design spaces that stand for function, beauty, and the future we envision for families, communities, and generations.
Bonifacio Day is a reminder that what we build—whether ideas, movements, or homes—must carry meaning. Each project is more than walls and roofs; it’s a symbol of hope, resilience, and purpose.
At KDA Design + Architecture, our philosophy, “Built with vision. Designed with purpose.”, echoes Bonifacio’s legacy. Like him, we believe that building with intent leaves an impact far greater than the structure itself.
Today, let’s honor Bonifacio not only by remembering the past but also by building toward the future he dreamed of—a future of strength, unity, and vision.
